We're hiring in Greenock!! If you share our values, looking for job satisfaction and want to make a real difference, then we want to hear from you!

Our fabulous team is on the lookout for two motivated and creative *female colleagues with a positive attitude to join them as Support Practitioners on a permanent basis. We have a full-time contract (39hrs per week) and part-time contract (20hrs per week) available.

For these roles it is desirable that you hold a full UK, manual driving licence with a minimum of 1 years’ driving experience as the people we support have their own mobility cars, however, this isn't a deal-breaker if you don't!

You don't need experience in care to start your career with us; we recruit on values and transferrable skills. We’ll give you all the training you need to be an amazing Support Practitioner including a fully funded SVQ.

The Role:

Working across our dispersed services in Greenock, you will support individuals on an outcome-based programme which will see them grow in confidence and learn life skills to increase their independence. You’ll take an active interest in their hobbies with include going out for walks and to their social clubs, volunteering and shopping.

The people we support have a range of different needs including mental health, learning disabilities, autism, addictions, criminal justice and past trauma. As a Support Practitioner, you’ll play a key role in assisting with daily living tasks including meal preparation, medication management, attending appointments and activities, handling personal finances, and personal care. As well as practical support, you’ll also offer emotional guidance and help individuals maintain meaningful relationships with their family and friends, empowering them to thrive in their own homes and communities

With your help, you’ll enable the individuals to explore new opportunities and reduce social isolation.

To be part of our team, we’ll need you to:

Have an empathetic and caring nature.
Good observation skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Confidence in using computers.
Be able to work well in a team environment and on your own.
Good organisational skills.

Shift patterns:

Our dedicated team provide tailored support 24/7 and our shifts include earlies from 7:30am, back shifts until 8/9pm and sleepovers which are 24 hours. These roles do involve working weekends and public holidays on a rotational basis.

The sleepover part of your shift is not included in your contracted hours so for every sleepover you cover you will be paid an additional £107.60.
