Strawberry Fields, Lifton

Are you a creative and commercially minded Visual Merchandiser with an exceptional eye for detail and a passion for food, gifting and seasonal retail?

We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Visual Merchandiser to work closely with our Head of Retail, helping to shape the look, feel and flow of the entire Strawberry Fields retail operation.

This is a varied and exciting role that extends beyond traditional visual merchandising. From designing our prominent seasonal entrance displays and creating eye-catching product features throughout the Farm Shop, to suggesting new products and planning our event merchandising tents, no two days will be the same.

The role

Working under the direction of the Head of Retail, you will:

Plan and implement seasonal visual changes throughout the retail store.
Review and develop store layouts, product positioning and customer flow.
Provide visual support and direction to the wider retail and merchandising teams.
Design and deliver our seasonal entrance displays, creating a strong and memorable first impression for every customer.
Create eye-catching, commercially focused displays across the entire store, including our food and gifting ranges.
Work with seasonal ranges to tell a clear and engaging product story.
Identify opportunities to highlight seasonal products, new ranges and key commercial lines.
Bring forward fresh ideas and suggest exciting new products that would complement our food and gifting ranges.
Use sales performance, customer feedback and seasonal trends to help shape merchandising ideas and product recommendations.
Maintain consistently high visual standards throughout the customer journey, with exceptional attention to detail.
Support seasonal events across the wider Strawberry Fields business.
Plan, design and execute our retail merchandising tents for major events and peak trading periods.
Work collaboratively with the Restaurant Manager to ensure the restaurant and conference rooms are presented to a high standard.
Respond quickly and creatively to changing stock levels, seasonal opportunities and the needs of the business.

This is a hands-on retail role, so you will also support the wider shop team when required. This will include covering tills and supervising the store for a minimum of one evening each week.

About you

We are looking for someone who has:

Previous visual merchandising experience within a retail environment.
Exceptional attention to detail and a strong creative eye.
A genuine interest in food, gifting and seasonal product ranges.
A commercial understanding of product placement, customer flow and what makes a display successful.
Experience planning and implementing seasonal displays and store changes.
The confidence to bring forward new ideas and make thoughtful product suggestions.
An awareness of seasonal trends and an instinct for products that will appeal to our customers.
The ability to provide visual guidance and work collaboratively with different teams.
Excellent organisation and planning skills.
The ability to manage several projects and seasonal deadlines at once.
A positive, practical and hands-on approach.
The confidence to work independently, use initiative and respond quickly to commercial opportunities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Working pattern

Flexibility is essential for this role. All members of our retail team are required to work at least one weekend day each week.

The successful candidate will also supervise the store for a minimum of one evening per week. Additional evening work may be required during peak trading periods, seasonal events and major merchandising changes.
