Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CAD Technician to join our dynamic design team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating precise technical drawings and models using a variety of CAD software. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to innovative projects across architecture, engineering, and construction sectors. The ideal applicant will possess strong technical expertise, a keen eye for detail, and experience in system and construction design. This position is paid and suitable for both experienced professionals and recent graduates seeking to develop their skills within a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

Develop detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings using Autodesk Inventor
Create accurate models for architectural, structural, or mechanical projects in line with project specifications.
Assist in the development of system designs and construction schematics to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to produce optimised design solutions.
Review and update existing drawings based on client feedback or project modifications.
Ensure all drawings adhere to organisational standards and industry regulations.
Support the integration of graphic design elements into technical documentation where required.
Maintain organised digital files and documentation for easy retrieval and version control.

Experience

Proven experience working as a CAD Technician or in a similar role within architecture, engineering, or construction industries.
Proficiency in CAD software including Autodesk Inventor, Lantek CAD/CAM
Strong understanding of system design principles and construction processes.
Experience with graphic design tools is advantageous but not essential.
Knowledge of construction documentation standards and schematic development is preferred.
Ability to interpret technical specifications and translate them into precise digital models.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
