Marketing Manager

Peterborough (on-site) Full-time, permanent Competitive salary, dependent on experience

About Us

We're PODWW (Printondemand-worldwide), a Peterborough-based group with over 25 years' experience in print-on-demand and ecommerce. Under our umbrella sit three brands, each at a different stage and each needing something different from this role:

Photobubble – our flagship consumer brand, turning customers' photos into photobooks, calendars, mugs and personalised gifts. Photobubble has a marketing assistant handling day-to-day execution and an in-house developer supporting product build but needs someone to bring the ideas and lead the strategy.
Bookvault – our biggest brand by far: a print-on-demand publishing platform empowering independent authors and publishers to print and sell books worldwide. Bookvault already has its own marketing manager and a larger team in place; this role contributes strategic input and ideas to help that team keep scaling.
Bookvault Shop – our online bookstore for titles printed through Bookvault, helping independent authors sell direct to readers faster, and more profitably, than listing on Amazon.

We're looking for an experienced Marketing Manager to work across all three, with time split roughly 70% Photobubble, 20% Bookvault and 10% Bookvault Shop.

The Role

This isn't a one-size-fits-all marketing role. On Photobubble, you'll be the driving force – generating ideas and leading execution of social content, strategy, product expansion and seasonal campaigns, working alongside a marketing assistant and product developer. On Bookvault, you'll act more as a strategic contributor, feeding ideas and advice into an established team to help our biggest brand keep growing. On Bookvault Shop, you'll help build out the marketing that drives direct sales for the authors who publish through us. It's a varied seat that rewards someone equally comfortable rolling up their sleeves and offering senior-level strategic input.

What You'll Be Doing

Photobubble (70%)

Bring fresh ideas and lead execution of social media content and strategy, working closely with our marketing assistant who helps deliver day-to-day content.
Identify and lead product expansion opportunities, briefing our in-house developer who builds new product designs.
Create tailored offerings for seasonal moments and life events – weddings, babies, Christmas, Mother's and Father's Day, and more.
Own the wider B2C marketing mix paid social, PPC, SEO, email/CRM and conversion optimisation.
Line-manage and develop our marketing assistant.

Bookvault (20%)

Act as a strategic sounding board for Bookvault's marketing manager and wider team, sharing ideas and best practice as we grow our biggest brand.
Contribute to strategy discussions and campaign planning, complementing rather than duplicating the existing team's day-to-day delivery.
Help identify new opportunities to grow Bookvault's reach among independent authors and publishers.

Bookvault Shop (10%)

Support marketing and growth of Bookvault Shop, our storefront for titles printed through Bookvault.
Help authors reach readers directly – and more profitably than via Amazon – through targeted campaigns, merchandising and promotions.
Drive customer acquisition and repeat purchase for the storefront.

What We're Looking For

5+ years' marketing management experience, ideally within ecommerce, DTC or multi-brand businesses.
Equally comfortable generating ideas and executing hands-on and offering strategic input to an established team.
A proven track record of driving growth through paid and organic digital channels.
Some experience line managing or briefing junior team members and in-house developers.
Strong analytical skills – comfortable with GA4, Meta and Google Ads, and email/CRM platforms.
Excellent stakeholder management – able to adapt from hands-on delivery to advisory input across different teams.
Creative flair balanced with commercial rigour.
Experience in gifting, ecommerce or publishing sectors is a plus, but not essential.
