Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented IT Specialist to join our innovative technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive technical support, maintaining network infrastructure, and ensuring the smooth operation of our computer systems. Your expertise will help optimize our IT environment, enhance user experience, and support our organizational goals. Duties

Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for hardware, software, and network issues across diverse operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux.
Manage and maintain computer networks, including LAN (Local Area Network), VPN (Virtual Private Network), DNS (Domain Name System), TCP/IP protocols, and firewall configurations to ensure secure and reliable connectivity.
Support desktop environments by installing, configuring, and upgrading hardware components and peripherals; perform routine maintenance on computers and servers.
Administer Active Directory services for user account management, permissions, and security policies; utilize Microsoft Windows Server environments effectively.
Utilize tools such as SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager), ServiceNow, Jira, BMC Remedy, and ServiceNow for asset management, incident tracking, and service request fulfillment.
Conduct software troubleshooting for applications including Microsoft Office suite; assist users with help desk requests promptly while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
Implement security measures like firewall rules and VPN access controls to protect organizational data; monitor network traffic for unusual activity.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze system performance issues and recommend improvements; document procedures clearly for future reference.

Qualifications

Proven experience in computer networking concepts such as LAN, TCP/IP protocols, DNS management, VPN setup, and firewall configuration.
Strong background in desktop support across multiple operating systems including Windows (Windows 10/11), macOS, and Linux distributions.
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Windows Server administration and Active Directory management.
Familiarity with software troubleshooting techniques for common enterprise applications like Microsoft Office; knowledge of SCCM for device management is a plus.
Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users; exceptional customer service orientation is essential.
Ability to diagnose hardware issues related to computer hardware components; experience supporting various peripherals is preferred.
Knowledge of IT support ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or BMC Remedy; proficiency with Jira is advantageous.
Analysis skills to identify root causes of technical problems quickly and implement effective solutions efficiently.
Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) are desirable but not mandatory.
