Permanent, Full Time 37 hours per week

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the role of Therapeutic Practice Lead, within the Bristol Therapeutic Support Service. This is a permanent full-time position and would suit a professional who has substantial experience in a therapeutic setting.

There are five specialist teams in BTSS that work together to improve outcomes for children and young people in care, returning home and leaving care. The service provides support at key stages of a child or young person's journey, helping to promote stability, strengthen relationships, and reduce unnecessary moves for children. The support provided is underpinned by trauma informed, relationship-based approaches and interventions that focus on the individual needs of the children, young people, families and carers. We also provide significant support to our children’s homes focused on developing and embedding a therapeutic model of care.

As a Practice Lead in the Bristol Therapeutic Support Service, you will work as part of the management team within our service leading and developing practice. You will also provide a range of therapeutic support as well as consultation and training for staff and carers with the overarching goal of promoting and achieving stability for children in care. We strive to continuously develop our service and practice and working in this environment will provide you with a good opportunity to influence developments as well as enhance your own skills and knowledge.

This post will support our children’s homes work, taking a lead on identifying and supporting the therapeutic needs for children and providing training, consultation and support to staff re: embedding therapeutic care. It will include some early evening work to support staff in their approach. It is an exciting time to join our team in this role as Bristol grow their provision of children's homes enabling children to remain close to home with high quality care.

To apply for this position, you will need a degree level relevant professional qualification and significant experience in a therapeutic setting. This post will suit a passionate innovative individual who enjoys a challenge and working creatively as part of a team.
