Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Service/Maintenance Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of mechanical equipment and systems. The ideal applicant will possess strong problem-solving skills, a "can do" attitude, and relevant technical qualifications.

Responsibilities

Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on mechanical systems and equipment to minimise downtime.
Attend customer installations, diagnose faults accurately using diagnostic tools and techniques, then implement effective repair solutions promptly.
Install, overhaul, repair, and replace mechanical components such as pumps and pumping equipment in addition to water treatment equipment.
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections in accordance with company procedures.
Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations, including risk assessments and safe working practices.
Participate in emergency repairs to minimise operational disruptions.

Experience

Proven experience as a Mechanical Service Engineer or similar role within industrial or manufacturing environments. Minimum 6 years.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and associated diagnostic tools.
Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent recognised certification.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics accurately.
Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to maintenance challenges.
Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team effectively. This role offers an engaging environment for dedicated professionals eager to contribute their expertise while advancing their careers within the mechanical engineering sector.

Pay: £31,200.00-£36,075.00 per year
