Overview

Part-Time Technical Procurement & Engineering Assistant (Temporary Contract)

Location: Remote / Flexible

Project: Distillery Construction & Commissioning Project

Duration: Initial 3-month temporary contract (with possible extension)

Hours: 1–2 days per week (flexible)

Pay: £15 per hour

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Technical Procurement & Engineering Assistant to support the procurement of equipment, components, and services for a distillery project. The successful candidate will work closely with the project team to identify suitable suppliers, obtain quotations, compare technical specifications, and assist with purchasing activities.

Key Responsibilities

* Research and identify suitable equipment, machinery, spare parts, and suppliers.

* Obtain and compare quotations from manufacturers and distributors worldwide.

* Review technical specifications and ensure equipment meets project requirements.

* Communicate with suppliers in Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and other regions.

* Prepare procurement comparison tables and recommendation reports.

* Maintain procurement records and supplier databases.

* Assist with logistics, shipping, and delivery coordination where required.

* Support general project administration and documentation.

Essential Requirements

* Mechanical Engineering qualification, Engineering Technician qualification, or similar technical background.

* Excellent spoken and written English.

* Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and internet research.

* Ability to communicate professionally with international suppliers and manufacturers.

* Good organizational and administrative skills.

* Ability to understand technical drawings, specifications, and equipment documentation.

Desirable

* Experience in procurement, purchasing, engineering projects, manufacturing, food processing, brewing, distilling, or chemical industries.

* Experience sourcing equipment internationally.

* Knowledge of pumps, tanks, boilers, piping systems, process equipment, or industrial machinery.

* Professional and reliable.
