The Opportunity

We are looking for a Customer Service Representative (CSR) to join our busy Readymix Concrete business area in Portsmouth.

This is a fast-paced, customer-focused role where you will be responsible for coordinating customer orders and supporting the smooth delivery of ready-mix concrete from order through to completion. You will work closely with customers, plant managers and drivers to ensure orders are accurately processed and deliveries run efficiently.

Taking and processing customer orders accurately and efficiently
Providing customers with a professional and helpful service
Pricing orders where required
Liaising with plant managers to coordinate production and deliveries
Communicating with drivers regarding delivery schedules and requirements
Tracking delivery slots, orders and updates throughout the day
Managing changes to orders and delivery requirements
Keeping customers informed of delivery progress and any changes
Working as part of a busy team to ensure a smooth and efficient service

The ideal candidate will have:

Experience in a customer service, logistics, transport or delivery-focused environment
Excellent communication and organisational skills
The ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple orders and priorities
A confident and professional telephone manner
Good IT skills and the ability to learn new systems quickly

Experience working with deliveries, logistics, transport or customer service would be beneficial, but it is not essential. Full training will be provided for the right candidate.
