Your impact
Playing your role in the biggest CAPEX invest programme ever seen, you will join a team over 600 engineering and technical professionals, responsible for the delivery an extensive portfolio of high value, high profile projects that will shape the future infrastructure of our industry for generations to come.
With both Senior and Principal positions available, as an integral part of a multi-disciplinary, joint venture delivery model, you will lead and manage the full lifecycle of complex innovative detail design solutions, project tasks and milestones for high value complex capex investment programmes across a diverse portfolio of projects including:
Pumping stations.
Treatment plants.
Process engineering systems.
Controls and Instrumentation systems.
Distribution networks.
Transformers.
Switchgear.
Motor control centres.
Emergency power systems.
Delivering the specification, engineering, detailed design, and delivery of safe, cost effect and innovative electrical solutions, that meet and exceed client requirements and industry standards. Your remit will include:
Develop concept, outline and detailed electrical designs.
Ensure constructability, commissioning, maintenance and reliability requirements are embedded into the design.
Ensure compliance with relevant standards including BS 7671, IEC standards, DNO requirements, and WIMES specifications.
Preparation and validation of technical reports, specifications, and procurement documentation,
Coordination with process, mechanical, C&I and civil engineering teams.
Participation in design reviews, HAZOPs, and technical assurance processes.
Support during construction, commissioning, and handover phases.

Motor control centres and power distribution specification and design.
Control System Network Architecture Layouts.
Cable sizing, protection coordination, and discrimination studies.
Harmonic assessments and mitigation strategies.
Earthing and lightning protection systems.
Telemetry and control system interfaces.
A sound knowledge of Electrical design software.
