IT Systems Support Officer

Known internally as Business Systems Support Officer (Level 2)

Salary: £37,364.00 - £38,684.00 per annum
Contract Type: Fixed Term (12 months)
Working Hours: 36.25 hours per week
Service area: Digital Services, Progress Housing Group
Office basis: Agile - office-based initially, then approximately 2 days per month in the office.
Location: Leyland

The role

As a proactive and customer-focused IT Systems Support Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the systems our colleagues rely on every day to deliver services to customers and communities.

You will provide second-line support for core business applications, resolving issues, managing user access and permissions, and working closely with colleagues and software providers to ensure systems remain effective, secure and fit for purpose.

You will support system upgrades, testing and change initiatives, helping to identify opportunities for improvement and ensuring new developments are successfully implemented across the organisation.

Working collaboratively with teams across the Group, you will help colleagues make the most of our business systems by providing guidance, training and technical support while contributing to the continuous improvement of our digital services.

What we’re looking for

Essential

Experience supporting and administering business systems within a professional working environment.

Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.

Experience of diagnosing and resolving system issues whilst managing competing priorities and deadlines.

A methodical and analytical approach, with excellent attention to detail.

Good knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and experience of supporting users with business applications.

Desirable

Experience supporting housing management, repairs, asset management or document management systems.

Experience of system testing, upgrades or implementation projects.

Knowledge of SQL.

Experience working within a project or programme environment.

ITIL Foundation certification or equivalent experience.
