The role:

Are you an organised, approachable and customer-focused individual looking to make a difference within the NHS? NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking an Admin Assistant to join our Community Administration Team within West Dunbartonshire Health and Social Care Partnership. In this varied and rewarding role, you will provide essential administrative and reception support that helps services run efficiently and ensures a positive experience for patients, visitors and colleagues. Working as part of a supportive team, you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality community healthcare services while developing your skills and experience within one of the UK's largest and most respected healthcare organisations.

Band 2 roles are not eligible for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker or Health and Care Worker visa routes.

The interviews for this position are scheduled to be held on the 18th of August.

Duration, Location, and Working Pattern:

Part-time, Permanent
You will be based at Vale Centre for Health & Care - this post covers all sites
Working Pattern: Monday - Friday 13:00 - 18:00

Please note the salary is Pro Rata for part time hours.

Key responsibilities:

Provide professional reception and administrative support to patients, visitors and healthcare teams
Manage appointments, patient information and data entry accurately using a range of electronic and manual systems
Respond to telephone and face-to-face enquiries in a courteous, efficient and confidential manner
Maintain organised filing systems and support the management of clinical and administrative records
Process incoming and outgoing mail, correspondence and routine office administration tasks
Support the delivery of services across community locations, providing cross-cover where required
Ensure compliance with confidentiality, data protection and organisational policies and procedures

Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to provide a high standard of customer service
Good written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and build positive working relationships
Ability to prioritise workload, manage competing demands and use initiative appropriately
Awareness of administrative processes and office procedures within a busy working environment
Experience of using computer systems and Microsoft Office applications
Knowledge of healthcare services or previous administrative experience would be advantageous but is not essential
