Full job description

Security Support Officer

Location: Rolls-Royce, Derby
Pay Rate: £13.12 per hour
Shift Pattern: 12-hour shifts (Days, Nights, Weekends)

We are seeking reliable and professional Security Support Officers to join our Rolls-Royce contract in Derby. Applicants must be fully flexible and able to work 12-hour day and night shifts, including weekends. Please do not apply if you are unable to commit to this shift pattern.

Key Responsibilities

Security Operations

Conduct access control, pass, and parking permit checks.
Monitor CCURE systems, CCTV, and door alarms.
Sign in visitors, contractors, and delivery drivers.
Maintain compliance with site procedures, company policies, and relevant legislation.
Complete all duties in accordance with Assignment Instructions (AI's).
Identify and recommend improvements to operational processes where appropriate.
Ensure compliance with SIA licensing requirements and all mandatory contract training.
Follow instructions and procedures professionally and consistently.
Maintain accurate records and reports as required.

Training & Development

Complete all mandatory training and competency assessments.
Participate in additional training as required.
Maintain and develop professional knowledge and skills.
Ensure SIA licences are renewed at least 16 weeks before expiry.

Security, Safety & Incident Management

Report all Health & Safety concerns and potential hazards immediately.
Remain vigilant to security threats and operational risks.
Use initiative and escalate concerns appropriately.
Maintain professional conduct when dealing with challenging situations.
Complete accurate incident reports and notebook entries.
Conduct scheduled check calls as required.
Notify emergency services and the Communication Centre of incidents when necessary.

Essential Requirements

Previous security experience.
Valid SIA Security Guarding or Door Supervision Licence.
Ability to work 12-hour day and night shifts, including weekends.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Professional, reliable, and flexible approach to work.
