We’re bringing that mission to life with HMND‑01 Alpha - our rapidly developed humanoid platform now running in real industrial pilots - and we’re growing the team to take it even further.

About the Role

Humanoid is the first AI and robotics company in the UK, creating the world’s most advanced, reliable, commercially scalable, and safe humanoid robots. Our first humanoid robot HMND 01 is a next-gen labour automation unit, providing highly efficient services across various use cases, starting with industrial applications.

What You'll Do

Start: September 2026
Assembly
- Build electro-mechanical assemblies according to CAD, drawings, and work instructions.
- Perform precise mechanical assembly using standard hand tools, adhesive applicators, crimp tools, torque wrenches, and labellers.
- Route complex harnesses according to instructions provided, labelling and securing as defined.
- Apply and record serial numbers to tracked assets
Bringup and test
- Configure and test sensors, actuators and communication devices using command-line tooling and electronics test equipment
- Diagnose and repair faults using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and PCB repair equipment, liaising with engineering as necessary
- Execute and monitor validation scripts
- Compile source code from git/GitLab/GitHub
- Build compute assemblies using ESD techniques
- Repair, rework and upgrade through-hole and surface-mount PCBs
- Make and repair electrical harnesses using crimp and labelling tools
- Testing of assemblies using jigs, fixtures, electrical test equipment, and compute devices
- Document findings and the results of tests

- Treat the tools and equipment with respect, maintaining them as necessary and reporting faults and damage
- Engage in ongoing and regular activities to maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the workshop

- Communicate clearly and effectively with fellow technicians, engineers, and leadership.
- Adapt quickly to changing priorities—jump in wherever help is needed.
- Contribute ideas to improve the speed, reliability, and quality of builds.

What We're Looking For

3+ year of experience in electromechanical assembly or prototype development
Proven ability to work with mechanical, electrical, and embedded systems—ideally in robotics, aerospace, or automotive.
Electronics and embedded system experience
Working in a Unix environment with command-line shell/bash
Git/GitLab/Github use
Strong attention to detail and a deep sense of build quality and safety.
Ability to read CAD, mechanical drawings, and wiring diagrams.
Hands-on experience with common tools, fixtures, soldering, torqueing, etc.
You move fast, stay organized, and take pride in solving problems in real time.
Comfortable working in a fluid, high-urgency environment with evolving designs and short timelines.
