We are looking for a Content and Digital Learning Designer to join our growing team.
This is a hands-on role for someone who can take legislation, statutory guidance, and best practice, turn it into clear, engaging content and then build it out as polished web pages, emails, and course modules, ready to publish. Alongside course creation, you will support website content, blogs, email campaigns, and wider digital marketing activity.
You will work closely with our existing Content Designer, helping us create and produce content that is accurate, relevant, commercially aware, and tailored to the needs of our customers. We are looking for someone who is highly curious, a strong writer, confident building digital assets from scratch, and genuinely interested in understanding what matters to different audiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and interpret legislation, statutory guidance, and best practice across safeguarding, food hygiene, first aid, fire safety, and health & safety.
- Create, update, and improve online course content that is accurate, compliant, engaging, and easy for learners to understand.
- Translate complex legal, technical, or regulatory information into clear language that reflects the needs of the customer.
- Tailor content for different audiences, ensuring it is relevant, accessible, and appropriate to their level of understanding.
- Design and build web pages, landing pages, and email templates from scratch using HTML/CSS and page builders (e.g. Beaver Builder), ensuring they are visually polished, responsive, and on-brand.
- Create marketing emails that look good and work well across different email clients, while following best practices for deliverability.
- Apply on-page SEO fundamentals (e.g. heading structure, meta data, image optimisation) at build time, so pages are search-ready from launch.
- Write and edit blogs, website copy, landing pages, email campaigns, newsletters, and other marketing content.
- Support lead-generation activity by improving customer-facing content across digital channels.
- Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to keep content current and compliant.
- Review and edit content for clarity, tone of voice, consistency, accuracy, accessibility, and quality.
- Maintain version control and ensure updates are communicated internally.
- Work closely with colleagues to develop ideas, improve output, and strengthen content performance.
- Use AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Rise AI to support research, drafting, course structure, review, and quality improvement, while applying human judgement, fact-checking, and quality assurance to all outputs.
What We're Looking For
- Excellent written English and exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong ability to turn complex information into clear, engaging, learner-friendly content.
- Comfortable building pages and emails in HTML/CSS - not just editing in a CMS.
- A good eye for layout, typography, and visual hierarchy; able to produce work that looks designed, not templated.
- Confident working independently from concept through to live asset, without requiring design or development hand-holding.
- Proficiency with page builders such as Beaver Builder or similar tools.
- Understanding of on-page SEO principles and how to apply them during build.
- Strong research skills and confidence working with legislation, guidance, or technical subject matter.
- Ability to adapt tone and messaging for different customer audiences.
- Experience creating or editing digital content for websites, e-learning, blogs, emails, or similar channels.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- A high level of curiosity, initiative, and willingness to learn.
- A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively as part of a growing team.
- Comfortable using AI tools responsibly to enhance productivity, while maintaining accuracy and editorial oversight.
Desirable Skills
- Knowledge of safeguarding, food hygiene, first aid, fire safety, or health & safety regulations.
- Experience creating e-learning, compliance, educational, or instructional content.
- Familiarity with Articulate 360, Rise, or similar digital learning tools.
- Experience with email marketing platforms and optimising for deliverability.
- Familiarity with digital marketing, lead generation, or conversion-focused content.
