Full job description

We are looking for either a level 2 or 3 qualified people to join our team, although we will consider unqualified with the right experience.

For this role we are looking for a support worker to work alongside our SENCO and directly with children requiring additional support.

We require that you are able to build a good relationship with both the child and their family. You will need to be able write observations clearly and concisely, you must also be physically fit to be able to carry out this role.

You must be available to work 9am - 3.30pm the position is for 24 hours per week, however we will happily accept someone on fewer but the must do 15 hours as a minimum. Initially, this is a temporary position contracted to the child who is expected to leave July 2027. However, there is a possibility of a permanent position becoming available.

We are an extremely busy setting, as such we expect you to not be afraid of hard work. We have a great team who work together to support each other. We, at St. Gabriel’s treasure our children, we believe they deserve the best start in life, we are non-judgmental of our families and will expect you to be the same. You will be required to deliver high quality learning opportunities to enhance children’s learning. You should have an understanding of the EYFS and child development. As, part of the team we require that you are flexible in your practice, that you can accept and give support to others. You must adhere to our policies, and hold the highest regard to safeguarding practices. .
