What you would do as our Business Development Co-ordinator
As our Business Development Coordinator, you will play a key role in driving sales growth across both UK and Export markets through proactive customer engagement, accurate quotation management, and effective business development activities. Working closely with new and existing customers, you will build strong relationships, comprehend customer requirements, and identify opportunities to maximise revenue while promoting our products and services.
You will assist the wider sales function through structured prospecting, lead generation, and account management activities, helping to develop a strong pipeline of opportunities and convert them into long-term business. By working with internal teams and maintaining accurate CRM records, you will contribute to achieving sales targets, enhancing the customer experience, and supporting the continued growth of the business.
You would also:
- Generate and manage accurate quotations and sales opportunities, ensuring timely follow-up and conversion to drive revenue growth.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships, promoting products and identifying opportunities to maximise sales.
- Manage key UK customer accounts and assist export accounts, driving growth through upselling and cross-selling initiatives.
- Prospect and develop new business opportunities through research, lead generation, customer outreach, and pipeline development.
- Maintain CRM records and sales reporting while working with internal teams to improve processes, customer experience, and overall sales performance.
The skills and experience you need
We are looking for someone who:
- Has proven experience in internal sales, business development, or customer-facing commercial roles, with a track record of generating and converting sales opportunities.
- Has strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to develop and maintain effective customer relationships.
- Is proficient in using CRM systems to manage customer data, sales pipelines, and business opportunities.
- Is highly organised and results-motivated, capable of managing multiple priorities while demonstrating strong commercial awareness.
- Has strong IT and Microsoft Office skills, with experience in manufacturing, construction, or technical product environments being advantageous.
