Full job description

Job Summary:

Simpsons London is a family-run luxury interiors business specialising in handcrafted mirrors and bespoke products for high-end residential and commercial interiors.

We are looking for an organised, reliable and proactive Administrator to join our team at our head office and workshop in Ongar.

This is a varied role supporting both the office and workshop teams, making it ideal for someone who enjoys organisation, communication and being involved in the day-to-day running of a busy business.

You will work closely with the Office/Accounts Manager and Workshop Manager, helping to coordinate administration, ordering and internal operations.

Key Responsibilities:
General office and administrative support
Ordering and monitoring receipt of, workshop materials and supplies via Purchase Orders

Sending out fabric / metal / wood samples to clients, creating sample boxes as appropriate

Ordering samples from the Workshop when supplies run low
Liaising between the office and workshop teams
Maintaining spreadsheets and records
Data entry, petty cash and system administration

Generating Crate / Shipping Quotes for our International Orders

Arranging of the servicing of vehicles & machinery

Managing and arranging Health & Safety Inspections

Manage annual leave + recruitment process for the Workshop

Supporting operational processes across the business
Assisting the Office/Accounts Manager when required

Key Requirements:
Strong computer literacy
Good Excel skills
Highly organised with good attention to detail
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
A genuine team player
Good communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks

Desirable but Not Essential:

Sage experience
Accounts or bookkeeping exposure

Health & Safety experience
Previous administration or operations experience
Experience in a workshop, manufacturing or interiors environment

About the Role:
Our offices and workshop are based in a rural environment at Wood Farm, Ongar, with on-site parking available.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop within an established and growing luxury interiors business.

Job Type: Full-time, permanent, in person role.
Location: Free on site parking Ongar CM5, own transport essential.
Schedule: Monday to Friday

Pay: £26,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
