to-day finance team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Financial Control & Operations: Oversee sales and purchase ledgers, month-end/year-end closures, accruals, prepayments, daily bank reconciliations, and payroll processing. Serve as the primary point of contact for external accountants and other stakeholders.
- FP&A & Growth Support: Lead the creation of annual budgets, rolling forecasts and management reporting. Partner with the Fractional FD on sensitivity analysis and scenario modeling to evaluate new opportunities.
- Values-Based Business Partnering: Act as the primary financial partner to non-financial managers - empowering them through financial literacy, cost management support, and clear, actionable insights.
- Cash Flow & Working Capital: Proactively manage debtor and creditor ledgers and short/medium-term cash flow trends to optimise working capital
- Procurement & Commercial Governance: Oversee key vendor relationships, negotiate supplier contracts, and enforce clear purchasing guidelines to optimise spend.
- Team Leadership & Development: Lead, coach, and mentor the Finance Assistant and support staff, fostering a collaborative, supportive culture focused on growth and professional development.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Essential Criteria:
● Qualifications: Fully Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or qualified by
experience (QBE).
● Experience: Proven experience as a Finance Manager, Senior Accountant, or in a
similar financial leadership role.
● Technical Mastery: Advanced Excel skills, strong accounting standards knowledge,
payroll governance, and experience managing end-to-end finance workflows
across online software systems.
● Values & Behaviors: Adaptable, highly collaborative, and resilient in navigating
organisational change. A proactive problem solver who takes personal pride in
precision and quality.
● Communication Skills: Strong ability to translate complex financial metrics into
understandable, actionable concepts for non-financial stakeholders.
Desirable Criteria:
● Experience supporting budget development and scenario planning during periods
of expansion.
● Background in procurement governance or contract risk evaluation.
● Multi-workflow or project management experience.

Pay: £40,000.00-£48,000.00 per year
