Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organisation within our premises, ensuring a welcoming and hygienic environment for staff and visitors alike. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in developing their skills within the cleaning and janitorial sector, with a focus on professional standards and attention to detail.

Duties

Perform routine cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming of designated areas
Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, and communal spaces according to health and safety standards
Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet roll as needed
Ensure all cleaning equipment is used correctly and maintained in good condition
Report any maintenance issues or damages to management promptly
Follow health and safety procedures diligently to ensure a safe working environment
Assist with specialised cleaning projects when required, including deep cleans or specialised surface treatments

Qualifications

Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Attention to detail to ensure high standards of cleanliness are maintained at all times
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Good communication skills and a professional attitude
Physical ability to perform cleaning duties which may involve lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
