Full job description

Job Overview (This job is term time only). Candidate must live within 10 miles.

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Club Manager to oversee our Before and After School Club programme. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children, ensuring smooth daily operations, and fostering positive relationships with children, parents, and staff. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a vibrant team while making a meaningful impact on children's development and well-being. The position involves organising activities, supervising staff, and maintaining high standards of childcare and safety.

Responsibilities

Plan and implement engaging activities suitable for children of various ages in the before and after school setting.
Supervise children to ensure their safety, wellbeing, and enjoyment throughout the programme.
Manage daily operations, including registration, attendance tracking, and liaising with parents regarding their child's progress or concerns.
Lead a team of childcare assistants or nannies, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.
Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and safeguarding policies.
Coordinate with school staff to facilitate smooth transitions for children arriving at or leaving the club.
Maintain organised records of children's attendance, behaviour reports, and incident reports when necessary.
Foster a welcoming environment that promotes positive behaviour and social development among children.
Organise special events or outings in accordance with organisational policies.

Requirements

Must have:-

Must be able to work between 7.15am and 9.15am Monday to Friday and 2.45pm and 6pm Monday to Friday term time only. Plus 1 week of training/meetings the week before school starts, end of August/early September.
Relevant childcare qualification (Level 3 or above).
Knowledge of Ofsted requirements and standards.
Experience managing staff, rotas, and budgets.
Proven experience in childcare, teaching, nannying or similar roles working with children.
Driving licence is essential for transporting children or running errands related to the club’s activities.
Fluency in English, written and oral
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with parents, children, and team members.
A caring attitude combined with patience and enthusiasm for working with young children.
Ability to work flexibly during before and after school hours in accordance with organisational needs.

This role provides an enriching environment where you can develop your leadership skills while making a positive difference in children's lives through organised activities and attentive care.

Paediatric First Aid qualification (or willingness to obtain).
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).

Pay: £14.00-£14.50 per hour
