This is a permanent, full time vacancy that will close in 3 days at 23:59 BST.

The Vacancy

As Shop Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of our large-format Burslem store. You'll lead and inspire a team of staff and volunteers, maximise sales, control costs, and ensure the shop provides an exceptional shopping and donating experience.

You'll play a key role in achieving income targets while maintaining high standards of presentation, compliance, and customer care.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the Superstore, including stock management, pricing strategies, and merchandising.
Oversee donation processing procedures, ensuring compliance with regulations and maximising Gift Aid potential.
Implement effective sales and marketing initiatives to drive foot traffic and increase income.
Recruit, train, develop and manage a team of staff and volunteers, fostering a positive work environment and promoting teamwork.
Provide ongoing coaching and development opportunities to enhance employee performance and customer satisfaction.
Deal with customer enquiries, feedback, and complaints promptly and professionally, striving to exceed expectations.
Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, to create a safe environment for staff and customers.
Uphold retail processes and procedures, including adherence to Health & Safety, Trading Standards, Gift aid and GDPR regulations.
