Full job description

Primrose provides safe, single-gender accommodation for women experiencing homelessness. We currently support nine women across two dedicated community properties, offering tailored accommodation and specialist support. Our service focuses on creating a safe and supportive environment where women can begin their journey to recovery. Through therapeutic and trauma-informed approaches, we work alongside each individual to understand their needs, address barriers, and help them move towards a more stable and independent future.

Position:

We are looking for a compassionate and motivated Female Support Worker to join our team. You will provide high-quality, person-centred support to women with multiple and complex needs, including mental health challenges, substance misuse, and experiences of trauma. Working as part of a small team delivering 24/7 support, you will build trusting relationships, manage risk, and empower women to engage in their recovery and access appropriate services.

Key Responsibilities

Provide trauma-informed, person-centred support to women in a residential setting
Build positive, trusting relationships with customers
Support individuals to access services including mental health, substance misuse, legal, and domestic/sexual violence support
Promote safety, wellbeing, and risk management at all times
Deliver tailored support plans and case management
Encourage and empower women to identify and work towards their goals and aspirations
Work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners

About You

Passionate about supporting women experiencing homelessness and complex needs
Understanding of trauma-informed and person-centred approaches
Ability to build strong, professional relationships and maintain boundaries
Resilient, empathetic, and proactive in your approach
Experience in support work (desirable but not essential – training will be provided)
