About Us
Oxfordshire County Council’s Public Health Directorate works to support and improve the health and wellbeing of Oxfordshire residents. Our Business Administration Support team provides the organisational support that enables the Directorate to deliver effective services.

About the Role
We are looking for a Team Support Officer to join our Public Health Business Administration Support team on a maternity cover basis.
You will provide high-quality administrative and organisational support across the Public Health Directorate. This varied role includes coordinating and minuting meetings, organising events, responding to enquiries from residents and partner organisations, maintaining records, supporting Freedom of Information requests, and processing financial transactions.
You will also support recruitment and induction activities and may act as a champion for a service process, system or development area. The role is Grade 7, with a full-time salary from £30,024 per annum, based primarily at County Hall, Oxford.

About you
You will have demonstrable administrative and customer service experience, with the confidence to communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues, residents and partner organisations.
You will be organised, accurate and comfortable managing competing priorities. You will have intermediate-level experience of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, and be confident using web-based systems to research, retrieve, enter and collate information.
You will be able to work independently and collaboratively, respond positively to change, and demonstrate honesty and a genuine commitment to supporting others. Experience of processing financial claims or transactions would be an advantage.

The role is full time at 37 hours per week, and we welcome conversations about flexible working. Our agile approach recognises that roles and individual circumstances differ, so working arrangements will be discussed collaboratively as part of the recruitment process.
Your office base may be subject to change as we are currently transitioning between temporary and permanent office locations due to the closure of County Hall. If this is applicable to you, you will be notified, but no reimbursement will apply in respect of travel.
