The Opportunity
We are looking for a Project Controls Engineer to join our team on a permanent basis. KAEFER currently deliver Fabric Maintenance services on Adura’s Mariner-A offshore platform, and Mariner-B FSU. The purpose of this role is to bridge the gap between Operations and Commercial, providing robust control of project controls and performance reporting. This role will ensure that scope delivery, cost forecasting, and commercial outcomes are fully aligned, accurate, and proactively managed.
How you will make an impact
Project Controls and Performance Management
· Own progress measurement methodology (e.g. earned value, % complete, milestones)
· Validate and challenge operational progress reporting
· Ensure alignment between reported progress and actual scope delivered
· Develop and maintain project control processes and dashboards
· Provide accurate, real-time visibility of scope status to internal leadership and client
Cost Control and Forecasting
· Build and maintain detailed cost forecasts (labour, materials, subcontract, etc.)
· Monitor actual spend vs budget and identify variances early
· Own cost-to-complete calculations for all scopes
· Support monthly forecasting cycle in collaboration with Ops and Commercial
· Highlight cost risks and mitigation strategies
Interface between Operations and Commercial
· Translate operational activity into measurable commercial value
· Ensure variations, changes, and additional scopes are properly captured and quantified
· Support Commercial Lead in substantiating claims and change events
· Challenge scope execution to ensure it aligns with contracted assumptions
Estimation and Scope Planning Support
· Assist in developing cost estimates for new scopes / variations
· Support planning and sequencing to improve cost efficiency
· Provide data-driven input into pricing and tendering (where needed)
Project Delivery Support
· Occasionally act as a project lead for defined scopes or work packs
· Ensure smaller scopes are delivered with proper controls and reporting discipline
· Implement lessons learned into forecasting and execution models
Governance and Improvement
· Introduce standardised controls (tracking tools, reporting packs, KPI frameworks)
· Drive continuous improvement in forecasting accuracy
· Support audit readiness (internal / client)
· Improve confidence internally and externally in cost & progress reporting
What you will bring
· Background in project controls, cost engineering, or commercial/project management
· Experience in offshore / oil & gas / fabric maintenance
· Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
· Comfortable challenging both Operations and Commercial teams
· Proficient in cost tracking tools and reporting systems
· Strong communication skills

The salary for this role is competitive and comes with the following benefits:
ü Competitive salary reviewed annually
ü Pension based on minimum of 5% from employee, 7.5% from KAEFER
