Full job description

We are seeking an motivated Programme Manager to lead the successful development, implementation and delivery of strategic projects and programmes across the Trust and in partnership with health and social care organisations across Herefordshire. This is a high-profile role within the Transformation and Change function, responsible for driving complex programmes that support service improvement, organisational transformation, financial sustainability and better outcomes for patients. The postholder will provide strong programme leadership across a broad portfolio, including major service change, CPIP initiatives, financial recovery programmes, digital transformation projects and other key strategic priorities. Working closely with clinical, operational and system partners, they will ensure robust programme governance, maintain oversight of multiple workstreams and identify and resolve issues.
A key responsibility of the role will be to lead and support the transition from the Trust's current cancer database to a new database system, ensuring effective programme governance, stakeholder engagement, data migration and business readiness throughout the implementation. The Programme Manager will also oversee the management and implementation of the new version of chemocare, working closely with clinical, operational, digital and supplier teams to ensure the system is successfully deployed, embedded into practice and delivers the intended benefits for patients and staff.

Lead the planning, delivery and governance of complex programmes and projects, ensuring successful achievement of agreed objectives and benefits.
Develop and maintain project plans, risks, issues and reporting processes, providing clear oversight of progress, dependencies and milestones.
Build strong relationships with clinical, operational, executive and system partners, ensuring effective stakeholder engagement, communication and collaboration.
Manage programme resources, budgets, quality assurance and governance requirements, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and in line with Trust priorities.
Provide leadership, support and challenge to project teams, driving continuous improvement, problem-solving and the successful delivery of transformational change.
