The Opportunity
The Senior Software Engineer, Microservices - Identity works within a team on new and existing Identity Microservices.
You will have a collaborative approach to solving problems, and an ownership mentality when it comes to addressing production issues.
What You Will Be Doing
Key Accountabilities
- Work within your team as a Senior Engineer on the Identity suite of APIs and services.
- Collaborate between agile teams and domains.
The Stack

- Development in Java, NodeJS, Spring Boot, ReactJS
- Auth0 for API Authentication and Authorisation
- Knowledge or Experience of AWS – Lambda, SNS, SQS, Identity and Access Management (IAM), NoSQL databases (DynamoDB)
- Infrastructure as code (IaC) using pipelines and automation (GitLab CI)
- Postman, Apollo GraphQL, Adobe Digital Commerce
- Introspection and observability tooling (Datadog)
What You’ll Bring
- A minimum of 10 years experience in information technology development and engineering.
- Enterprise Frameworks: Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Security
- API Design & Integration: Building and securing RESTful APIs and ideally, GraphQL
- Database Management: Proficiency in relational (MySQL, ORACLE) and NoSQL (DynamoDB, Redis) databases.
- Cloud Platforms: Experience deploying to AWS
- Containerisation & CI/CD: Hands-on experience with Docker and automated deployment pipelines
- Mentoring & Leadership: Guiding junior developers, leading design reviews, and promoting team coding standards
- Strong collaboration, teamwork and relationship building skills across multiple levels and functions in a technology organization.
- Ability to listen, build rapport, and credibility with your colleagues.
- Ability to lead change using positive and collaborative methods.
- Able to communicate technical or complex subject matter to colleagues in other teams, as well as stakeholders.
