Job Description:

We are an independent bakery cafe on London City Island, East London. Everything is baked in house at the highest quality using fresh, fun flavors. We are looking for a charismatic individual that will showcase our products in the cafe which will also be sold all around London through our wholesale side of the business.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and bake a variety of bakery items, including bread and pastries

- Follow recipes and ensure consistency in product quality and taste

- Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes or personal judgment

- Monitor baking process and adjust temperatures or cooking times as needed

- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards

- Clean and maintain work area and equipment

Experience:

- Previous experience in a professional kitchen or bakery setting is preferred

- Knowledge of food production techniques and baking principles

- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines

- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately

- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively

Skills:

- Proficient in various baking techniques and methods

- Knowledge of different types of flours, sugars, and other baking ingredients

- Ability to operate commercial baking equipment safely and efficiently

- Understanding of food preparation techniques for both sweet and savory items

- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
