Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Nurse to join our team. As a qualified nursery practitioner we will need candidates with a Level 2, Level 3 or above relevant qualification with a DBS on the update service. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and experience working with children in a nursery setting. As a Nursery Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and education to young children, fostering their development in a safe and nurturing environment.

Responsibilities

Provide attentive and compassionate care to children aged 0-5 years.
Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development, ensuring effective communication with parents and guardians.
Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for all children.
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the nursery and support each other in daily tasks.
Demonstrate strong leadership skills by guiding less experienced staff and supporting their professional development.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and nursery procedures.
Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues in English, fostering positive relationships within the nursery community.

Experience

Previous experience working in a nursery or childcare setting is essential.
A qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is highly desirable.
Demonstrated management skills with the ability to lead a team effectively.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage with children and their families.
