Full job description

We are looking for a passionate, creative and enthusiastic Head Chef to lead our fabulous kitchen team here at Baked Cafe. We are looking for a true leader who has passion for preparing and cooking quality fresh food. Hands on experience working in a high volume kitchen. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work under pressure. A motivated team player with the ability to develop the kitchen team and all areas of food safety preparation and controls.

Duties to include:

Lead, motivate, and manage the kitchen team, creating a positive and productive working environment
Plan and develop seasonal menus in line with our café/restaurant style, focusing on fresh, high-quality ingredients
Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring smooth service during busy periods
Maintain excellent standards of food quality, presentation, and portion control
Manage stock levels, ordering, and supplier relationships to control costs
Ensure full compliance with food hygiene, safety, and health & safety regulations (including HACCP)
Train and develop junior team members to support their growth and maintain team standards
Work closely with front-of-house staff to ensure a seamless customer experience
Monitor kitchen performance, identify improvements, and implement efficient working practices
Maintain a clean, organised, and well-run kitchen at all times

Full time open 7 days a weeks

Working hours between 7.30am to 6pm

Hours: 40 to 45 per week, weekends and bank holidays required over 5 days.

Pay: £16.50 per hour
