Full job description

Summary:

As the Head Housekeeper at our esteemed hospitality establishment in Torquay, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and organisation throughout the property. This permanent, full-time position is ideal for an entry-level candidate eager to develop their career in the hospitality and catering industry. Your leadership will directly contribute to guest satisfaction and the overall reputation of our establishment.

Responsibilities:

Oversee daily housekeeping operations to ensure cleanliness and orderliness in all guest rooms and public areas.
Manage and train housekeeping staff, ensuring adherence to company standards and procedures.
Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and common areas to maintain high cleanliness standards.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery and guest satisfaction.
Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary.
Implement and uphold health and safety regulations within the housekeeping department.
Address and resolve any guest complaints or issues related to housekeeping promptly and professionally.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a housekeeping role is preferred but not essential as training will be provided.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
Basic knowledge of cleaning products and equipment is advantageous.
