Full job description

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Sheetmetal Production Manager to oversee daily manufacturing operations, optimize workshop efficiency, and lead our team of qualified fabricators and welders. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining the high standards expected by our clients while driving productivity, ensuring health & safety compliance, and overseeing project delivery from design to dispatch. Strong technical background with the ability to read engineering drawings and understand various metal manufacturing processes (TIG/MIG welding, CNC punching, pressing etc)

Duties

Manage daily sheet metal production activities, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards
Oversee quality control procedures to ensure products meet specifications and customer expectations
Drive team development by providing training on mechanical processes, safety procedures.
Support, help and develop apprentices through skills teaching partners
Proven experience in sheet metal fabrication or manufacturing management with a focus on process optimization
Strong mechanical knowledge coupled with familiarity to basic machine maintenance
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of quality control standards and assembly techniques within sheet metal production
Excellent communication skills with an emphasis on teamwork and problem-solving
