The Role
As a Junior Developer, you will have the opportunity to work on our in-house web applications and services, learning from experienced members of the team, and contribute to the growth and success of the company.
Responsibilities will include:
- Working with the senior developer and other members of the team to develop and maintain company web applications and services.
- Assist in the design, coding, testing and implementation of new solutions.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues that arise in live or testing environments.
- Organise and carry out code reviews to ensure code quality and provide feedback to the team.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in software development
Earnings & Rewards
- Basic salary: £25,000 (based on a 37.5-hour week)
Desirable skills
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or software engineering or equivalent practical experience
- Understanding of Node.js and associated libraries (in particular Express and Sequelize)
- Experience of using MySQL and MSSQL databases
- Experience of server-side templating languages (Handlebars or equivalent)
- Experience of front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS & JavaScript)
- Knowledge of version control systems, particularly Git
- Knowledge of Linux environment
- Experience with WordPress

Working Hours

This is an office based role, you must be able to reliably commute to Mamhilad Park Estate.
