THE ROLE
As a Cloud DevOps Engineer, you will play an important role in ensuring the reliability, security, performance and value of our Microsoft Azure platforms.
Working within our IT Operations team, you will support the day-to-day management of cloud infrastructure across SaaS, IaaS and PaaS services, while helping to drive automation, operational excellence and continuous improvement. You will be involved in designing and testing disaster recovery solutions, maintaining Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, and supporting secure access management through Azure-native technologies.
You will work closely with colleagues across technology, security and business teams to develop and improve CI/CD pipelines, embed DevSecOps practices and identify opportunities to streamline processes. You will also contribute to cloud governance, monitoring and observability, ensuring services remain resilient, compliant and cost-effective.
To succeed in this role, you will bring hands-on experience of Microsoft Azure, including infrastructure, identity, security and monitoring services. You will be comfortable working with Infrastructure as Code and automation tools such as Terraform, PowerShell, Python and YAML, and have experience supporting cloud-based delivery through Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.
You will also have a good understanding of cloud cost management, governance and operational best practice, together with experience of delivering Azure solutions, migrations or modernisation initiatives. Experience within a regulated environment, such as financial services, would be beneficial.
Most importantly, you will enjoy working collaboratively, sharing knowledge with colleagues and contributing to a culture of learning, improvement and innovation. If you are motivated by solving complex challenges and helping to deliver secure, reliable cloud services, we will welcome your application.
