We’re looking for an experienced IT Test Analyst to join our Group IT function on a 12‑month fixed term contract. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact by helping ensure the quality, reliability, and success of our IT solutions across key projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
The Role
As an IT Test Analyst, you will be responsible for test analysis, planning, execution, and reporting, with a strong focus on test automation and continuous improvement.
Working closely with Developers, Test Leads, and business stakeholders, you will help ensure that solutions are thoroughly tested, fit for purpose, and delivered to a high standard.
The role will offer hybrid-working based at our Pagoda House office in Harrogate (HG2 7DL). Please note that this role requires a regular on-site presence so fully remote applicants will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the adoption of test automation within projects and change initiatives
- Plan, design, and execute manual and automated testing across multiple systems
- Collaborate with developers and project teams throughout the software development lifecycle
- Create and maintain test plans, scripts, and regression test suites
- Execute testing activities, track progress, and report outcomes clearly
- Identify, log, and manage defects, working with teams to resolve issues
- Support SMEs and stakeholders with testing best practice and guidance
- Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes, tools, and standards
- Produce high-quality test documentation and test exit reports
- Work with internal teams and third parties to ensure comprehensive test coverage
What You Bring
You are an experienced testing professional who enjoys combining strong ISTQB related knowledge and test automation skills with collaboration and problem‑solving. You’ll bring:
- Significant experience in software testing and QA practices
- ISTQB Foundation Level (CTFL) certification as a minimum
- Proven experience with test automation frameworks and tools
- Experience in UI and API test automation
- Familiarity with low-code automation tools (e.g. Virtuoso, Leapwork, TestComplete)
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle
- Experience working on technical projects and change programmes
- Ability to create and maintain test scripts and documentation
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams
- Experience with tools such as Jira, DevOps, and test management platforms
Knowledge of ERP systems (IFS Cloud desirable but not essential)
