Client Accountant

Location: London
Department: SPV Management - Client Accounting

Full Time, Permanent, Monday to Friday (9:00am-5:30pm)

Hybrid after probation - 3 days onsite

We are looking for a Client Accountant to join our offices in London. In this position you will play a key role in the growth of our SPV Management business.

The position

As a Client Accountant within the SPV Management side of the Client Accounting team, every day brings a new challenge so you’ll need to be a team player at heart, with an eye for detail and great organizational skills so you can prioritize your day to ensure deadlines are met and timelines are adhered to. Your primary responsibility will be to act as a day-to-day front office contact for your designated client. You will be a part of a supportive team, own your tasks and proactively manage your deliverables and resolve any issues that may arise.

You will be assigned to assist with client accounting administrations for a client that operates in the hotel leasing industry. You will need to be highly organized, pay close attention to detail and be keen to cope with multiple tasks, prioritize and provide excellent customer services, which CSC is well known for. You will have extensive knowledge of producing monthly management accounts under tight deadlines.

Knowing how to build an effective and positive relationship with clients, through quality services, honest integrity and sincerity is essential. By building positive relationships with your clients, you will find solutions to build strong customer relationships with existing and new clients, gaining insight into their needs and deliver customer centric solutions.

You will be responsible for an international client that operates within the hotel industry but will also have the opportunity to assist clients in private equity, consultancy, IT, transportation and holding companies as and when the opportunity arises. The main responsibility initially will be production of monthly management accounts and you will possess the relevant technical accounting expertise and experience in respect of the production of the monthly management accounts.

Your responsibilities

Financial Services

Prepare and review monthly management accounts under UK GAAP using Microsoft dynamics.
Complete and review quarterly VAT returns.
Prepare financial statements under FRS 102 using CCH accounts production software.
Liaise with auditors and prepare supporting documentation.
Liaise with tax advisers to ensure corporation tax returns are prepared and filed within statutory deadlines.
Produce ad hoc reports and perform detailed analysis as and when required.
Maintain positive client relationships and promote a professional image of CSC.
Attend board meetings where necessary.
Work closely with Cash Management team to facilitate client payment administration processes.
Collaborate with Company Secretary team to ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
Keep up to date with developments in accounting standards and provide guidance and support to junior members of the team.

People Management

Work closely with junior team members of the team to solve issues and problems, and ensure consistent delivery of high-quality, timely client service.
Provide coaching and technical support to junior team members, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment that encourages accountability, engagement, and professional growth.

Your profile

Part Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent).
Solid knowledge of management accounts production under UK GAAP (FRS102).
Experience producing financial statements under UK GAAP (FRS 102)
A credible individual with intellectual ability and a hands-on approach.
Excellent English language skills.
