Position: General Sales Manager

Brands: MG & Chery

Location: Bognor Regis, West Sussex

Salary: £85,000 OTE (Basic Salary from £45k + Commission/Bonus + Car)

Work Pattern: 5-day Working Week

***Applicants must hold a full UK driving licence ***

The Position:

Due to the continued growth of our MG franchise and the huge success of our recently opened Chery showroom, we have created the new position of General Sales Manager to join the Bognor Regis management team. This is a fantastic opportunity to become the leader of 2 departments currently performing at over 125% of budget YTD!

You will be reporting directly to the Head of Business, and across both franchises you will be managing a team that consists of 3 Transaction Managers, a Business Manager, and 8 Sales Executives, and leading them on to realise their full potential.

The main responsibilities of the General Sales Manager position will be; to deliver the financial budget of the department through maximising sales opportunities and effective cost control. Achieve manufacturer registrations and Used Car targets as set by the group’s Sales Director, whilst maintaining the highest level of customer satisfaction. Ensure the sales department is compliant with the company’s core processes and lead management standards, and oversee the coaching and development of the sales team.

Key Performance Indicators:

Department Direct Profit vs Budget
Enquiry levels, conversion ratios
Performance vs registration and unit objective
Franchise and other independent consumer review providers customer satisfaction scores
Renewals
Maintaining agreed new and used stock levels and stock turn
Brand standards compliance
