Job Title: Head Chef – Persian & Middle Eastern Cuisine

Company: Colbeh Persian Kitchen
Location: Edgbaston, Birmingham
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience

Colbeh Persian Kitchen is looking for an experienced, creative and highly organised Head Chef to lead our kitchen team.

The successful candidate must have strong cooking experience in Persian and Middle Eastern cuisine. This is a hands-on position involving daily cooking as well as responsibility for the overall kitchen operation, team leadership and menu development.

Key Responsibilities:

● Prepare and cook authentic Persian and Middle Eastern dishes

● Lead and manage the day-to-day kitchen operation

● Design, develop and cost new menu items

● Maintain consistently high standards of quality and presentation

● Develop seasonal and special menus for Colbeh and our other sites

● Manage food ordering, stock control and supplier relationships

● Monitor food costs, portion control and kitchen waste

● Recruit, train and develop kitchen staff

● Organise kitchen rotas and manage team performance

● Maintain excellent food hygiene, health and safety standards

● Work closely with management to improve efficiency and the guest experience

Essential Requirements:

● Professional cooking experience in Persian and Middle Eastern cuisine

● Previous experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef

● Strong leadership, organisation and staff-training skills

● Experience in menu development, food costing, ordering and stock control

● Ability to work calmly and effectively in a busy restaurant

● Good knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen safety

● The right to work in the UK

A Level 3 Food Safety qualification is preferred.
