Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaner Operative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in commercial settings. This role is essential in creating a safe, clean, and pleasant environment for all users of the facility.

Responsibilities

Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.
Clean and sanitize restrooms, kitchens, and other high-traffic areas.
Empty bins and dispose of waste in line with environmental regulations.
Replenish cleaning supplies, toiletries, and consumables as needed.
Operate cleaning machinery such as floor buffers and carpet cleaners (training will be provided if required).
Respond to specific cleaning tasks as requested by management.
Maintain the highest standards of health and safety by following company policies and using cleaning products responsibly.
Report any maintenance issues, damages, or hazards to the supervisor promptly.
Adhere to all security protocols and maintain confidentiality in sensitive areas.

Skills

Prior experience in a similar cleaning role working fish (preferred but not essential).
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment (training provided if necessary).
