Overview
We are seeking a talented and innovative Web Designer & Content Manager to join our dynamic digital team. Duties
- Design and develop responsive websites using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks such as Bootstrap, React, and Angular.
- Manage website content through platforms like WordPress, Drupal, and other content management systems, elementor.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and user interface designs employing tools such as Adobe XD, Figma, Axure, Balsamiq, and InVision.
- Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions and optimise user experience (UX).
- Implement SEO best practices to improve website visibility and search engine rankings.
- Maintain and update existing websites ensuring functionality, security, and aesthetic consistency.
- Utilise analytics tools like Google Analytics to monitor website performance and generate data-driven insights.
- Collaborate with developers using Git, Node.js, Redux, PHP, MySQL, SQL, and VHDL for front-end and back-end integration.
- Produce high-quality graphics and visual content using Adobe Creative Suite applications such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Acrobat, and Flash.
- Develop information architecture and site maps to optimise usability and navigation flow.
- Conduct regular website audits for usability improvements and implement necessary updates or redesigns.
Skills
- Proficiency in digital design principles with experience in graphic design tools including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Flash, and Acrobat.
- Strong knowledge of web design standards with expertise in HTML5, CSS3 (including SCSS/SASS), JavaScript (including AJAX), PHP, Node.js, React, Angular, Bootstrap, Redux, Telerik.
- Experience with content management systems such as WordPress and Drupal; familiarity with SharePoint is advantageous.
- Skilled in wireframing and prototyping using Adobe XD, Figma, Axure RP, Balsamiq or InVision.
- Understanding of UX/UI principles along with information architecture best practices.
- Knowledge of SEO strategies combined with data analysis skills using Google Analytics for performance optimisation.
- Familiarity with responsive web design techniques ensuring compatibility across devices.
- Experience with version control systems like Git; understanding of front-end development workflows is essential.
- Ability to perform website maintenance tasks including updates and security enhancements.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
