DevOps / Backend Engineer — Node.js, Kubernetes, AWS, Agentic AI

We are a team of expert developers with the goal of creating the next generation of systems that will power gaming and game development.

We are looking for a DevOps / Backend Engineer to build and operate scalable cloud infrastructure, backend services, and AI-enabled systems. This role combines backend development in Node.js, cloud-native infrastructure on AWS, Kubernetes operations, and work with agentic AI workflows.

Responsibilities

- Design, build, and maintain backend services using Node.js / TypeScript.

- Develop APIs, microservices, background workers, and integrations with internal and external systems.

- Deploy, operate, and monitor applications running on Kubernetes.

- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for reliable deployments.

- Improve system reliability, observability, logging, monitoring, alerting, and incident response.

- Work with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

Requirements

- Strong experience with Node.js backend development.

- Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and production deployments.

- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and containerized applications.

- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.

- Good understanding of networking, security, IAM, secrets management, and cloud best practices.

- Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, or DynamoDB.

- Understanding of distributed systems, scalability, fault tolerance, and production operations.

- CI/CD: GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar

- AI: LLMs, agentic AI workflows, tool-calling, RAG, automation agents

- Monitoring: CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry

Pay: £50,000.00-£90,000.00 per year
