This post is Fixed term/Secondment for 2 years to meet the needs of the service.

The Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust is seeking to appoint a motivated and skilled Digital Applications Developer to join our developing in-house applications development function.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the design, development, implementation and support of internally developed software applications and system integrations that underpin clinical, operational and corporate services across the organisation. The post holder will play an important role in translating complex service requirements into secure, scalable and sustainable digital solutions that support high-quality service delivery and digital transformation.

Working closely with colleagues across the Digital directorate, as well as clinical and non-clinical stakeholders, the Digital Applications Developer will support the development of web applications, APIs, integrations and databases using agreed frameworks, standards and development practices. The role will also contribute to testing, documentation, application lifecycle management, incident resolution and continuous improvement, helping to ensure that internally developed solutions are safe, reliable, accessible and aligned with information governance and cyber security requirements.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and technically capable individual with experience of developing, implementing and supporting enterprise-level applications and/or system integrations. The successful candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, experience of working with modern development technologies, and the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly to non-technical colleagues. Experience of working with technologies such as .NET, C#, PHP, web frameworks, APIs, SQL Server or equivalent would be highly beneficial.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
