We're now looking for a talented, experienced Senior Backend Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate brings a strong eCommerce background and a genuine passion for delivering exceptional web solutions.

Salary of £40,000 – £60,000, depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with the development team to design, build, and maintain scalable, high-quality web applications and eCommerce solutions
Develop customised features, extensions, and integrations across platforms, with a primary focus on Magento
Ensure the performance, stability, and security of our clients' websites
Participate in code and architecture reviews, offering constructive feedback and improvements
Communicate effectively with team members and clients, providing technical guidance and support when needed
Keep up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to keep our solutions innovative and competitive

Essential Skills and Experience

Proven experience as a Backend Developer, with a minimum of 5 years in the industry
Strong expertise in PHP, MySQL, and MVC frameworks, ideally with Magento 2 experience
Familiarity with other eCommerce platforms such as Shopify, BigCommerce, Laravel, WordPress, and Shopware
Proficiency with Git or other version control systems
Solid understanding of web technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Experience with RESTful APIs and web services
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and within a team
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Desirable Skills

Magento Developer Certification
Experience with other languages such as Python, Ruby, or Java
Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools such as Jira or Teamwork
