As part of our long-term growth strategy, we are investing in digital transformation initiatives to improve operational efficiency, enhance customer experience, and centralise business processes across all locations. The business is currently developing a centralised digital platform that will connect all restaurant branches and support future expansion. In addition, we are launching a new canteen operation at Coventry Bus Station, designed specifically to serve bus drivers and transport staff through a modern Order & Collect service. To support these strategic projects, we require a skilled Digital Product Designer (UI/UX & Web Designer) to lead the design and user experience of our digital products and customer-facing platforms. Main Purpose of the Role The Digital Product Designer will be responsible for researching, designing, and improving digital experiences across the company's websites, mobile applications, internal management systems, and customer ordering platforms. The role will play a key part in creating a unified digital ecosystem that supports all restaurant branches while delivering an efficient and engaging experience for customers, staff, and business stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Design user-centred interfaces for websites, mobile applications, kiosks, and internal business systems. Conduct user research and gather requirements from customers, restaurant managers, bus drivers, and operational teams. Create wireframes, user flows, journey maps, prototypes, and high-fidelity interface designs. Design and optimise the Order & Collect application for the Coventry Bus Station canteen operation. Develop intuitive customer experiences that reduce ordering times and improve customer satisfaction. Collaborate with software developers, management teams, and operational staff to ensure designs meet business objectives. Establish and maintain a consistent design system and brand guidelines across all digital platforms. Design dashboards and interfaces for a centralised restaurant management system connecting all branches. Analyse user behaviour, customer feedback, and performance data to continuously improve digital products. Ensure all digital products
comply with accessibility, usability, and responsive design standards.
- Support digital initiatives including loyalty programmes, online ordering, click-and-collect services, and future self-service technologies. Produce design documentation and specifications for development teams. Stay informed of emerging UX, digital commerce, and hospitality technology trends to support ongoing innovation. Skills and Experience Required Essential Degree-level qualification or equivalent professional experience in UI/UX Design, Web Design, Digital Product Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field. Experience designing responsive websites and mobile applications. Strong knowledge of user-centred design methodologies and usability principles. Experience using design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar. Ability to create wireframes, prototypes, user journeys, and design systems. Understanding of accessibility standards and responsive design best practices. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Desirable Experience within hospitality, food service, retail, or e-commerce sectors. Experience designing online ordering, booking, loyalty, or customer engagement platforms. Understanding of digital transformation projects involving multi-site businesses. Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Pay: £45,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
