We are seeking a skilled Web Developer and Designer with a strong background in packaging to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in front-end and back-end development, web design, and packaging solutions integration. Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain responsive websites and web applications using technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Angular, Vue.js, and jQuery.
- Design intuitive user interfaces (UI) and enhance user experience (UX) through wireframing and prototyping.
- Implement back-end solutions leveraging frameworks like Django, Spring Framework, ASP.NET, Ruby on Rails, Node.js, and PHP.
- Manage databases including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, SQLite, MongoDB, and GraphQL integrations for data storage and retrieval. AI based development and knowledge of AI implementation for design and marketing is crucial.
- Utilise version control systems such as Git and GitHub to ensure efficient collaboration and code management.
- Automate deployment pipelines using Jenkins, Docker containers, Ansible configurations, and cloud services like AWS or Azure.
- Develop web services and APIs adhering to RESTful standards or SOAP protocols for seamless integration across platforms using AI when / if necessary while developing Web and app services and marketing.
- Conduct unit testing and optimise code quality through tools like Visual Studio or similar IDEs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams using project management tools such as Jira or Trello to ensure timely delivery of projects.
- Design visually appealing web pages incorporating CSS pre-processors like SCSS or Bootstrap frameworks for responsive design.
- Implement SEO best practices to improve website visibility across search engines.
- Apply web design principles aligned with branding guidelines to create engaging digital content tailored for packaging solutions.
Experience
- Proven experience in full-stack web development with a portfolio demonstrating projects involving HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular), and back-end technologies such as Django or ASP.NET.
- Strong background in designing user interfaces (UI) with a focus on user experience (UX) optimisation.
- Hands-on experience working with databases including MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server or NoSQL options like MongoDB.
- Familiarity with containerisation tools such as Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes is desirable.
- Experience integrating web services via REST APIs or SOAP protocols within complex systems architecture.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitHub Actions is advantageous.
- Prior involvement in packaging industry projects or understanding of packaging workflows will be considered a significant asset.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams in fast-paced environments.
