We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity to work as a Consultant in Paediatric Palliative Medicine across Children’s Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS) and Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital, NHS Grampian. This post represents the ongoing collaboration between CHAS and NHS Grampian to develop specialist paediatric palliative care services across all care settings.
This is a substantive 10PA (inclusive of 2PA for on-call commitment) joint appointment for a Consultant in Paediatric Palliative Medicine (PPM). The post holder will be a member of both CHAS services covering the national on-call service and providing onsite care at NHS Grampian. The post holder will provide senior medical delivery of palliative care to infants, children and young people with life limiting and life-threatening conditions within the children’s hospices, hospital, and community. The post holder will be expected to contribute to the strategic development of paediatric palliative care across Scotland, including the delivery of education, training, and research.
You must be fully registered with the GMC and hold a licence to practice and be on the specialist register, or within six months of attaining your CCT or equivalent to be eligible for interview
