Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Kitchen Team Leader to oversee daily kitchen operations within our busy hospitality environment. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and assistants, to ensure smooth operations
- Oversee food production processes, ensuring all dishes meet quality standards and presentation requirements
- Lead food preparation and cooking tasks, maintaining consistency and efficiency in meal service
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards across all kitchen areas
- Train new team members on kitchen procedures, safety protocols, and customer service expectations
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment at all times
Experience
- Proven experience within a professional kitchen or hospitality setting
- Background in food production, food preparation, and cooking techniques
- Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead diverse groups of staff
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene management
- Previous restaurant or catering experience is highly desirable
- Familiarity with hospitality operations, including serving procedures and customer service principles
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
