SINGING TEACHER. IMMEDIATE START

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality singing classes (group and/or individual) tailored to children and young people.
- Teach a range of vocal techniques including breathing, projection, pitch, tone, harmony, and performance skills.
- Select age-appropriate repertoire across musical theatre, pop, and other relevant genres.
- Prepare students for performances, showcases, and productions.
- Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to build students’ confidence and skill.
- Collaborate with other teachers (acting, dance, musical direction) to support integrated theatre training.
- Maintain safeguarding standards and ensure student welfare at all times.
- Contribute to staff meetings, planning, and wider school activities where required.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong background in vocal performance and/or vocal pedagogy.
- Experience teaching singing to children and young people (individual and group).
- Knowledge of musical theatre repertoire and techniques.
- Excellent communication, patience, and motivational skills.
- Ability to inspire creativity, confidence, and enjoyment in students.
- Reliable, organised, and professional.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Desirable
- Degree or equivalent training in Music, Musical Theatre, or Vocal Studies.
- Experience working in theatre schools, stage schools, or youth performance settings.
- Ability to play piano/keyboard for warm-ups and accompaniment.
- Experience preparing students for exams, auditions, or performances.
