Auto-Sleepers Solidworks Draughtsman
We are seeking a detail-oriented SolidWorks CAD Designer to create, modify, and maintain 2D drawings and 3D models for engineering and manufacturing projects. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SolidWorks, a solid understanding of mechanical design principles, and experience working with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality designs on schedule
Key Responsibilities:
· Create 3D models, assemblies, and detailed 2D drawings using SolidWorks
· Develop and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) and technical documentation
· Perform design modifications and revisions based on engineering feedback
· Conduct tolerance analysis and ensure compliance with industry standards
· Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams
· Support prototype development and product testing
Skills:
- Proficiency in SolidWorks with a strong portfolio demonstrating previous draughtsmanship work
- Solid understanding of engineering principles
- Ability to interpret technical sketches, blueprints, and schematics accurately
- Strong organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams
- Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in drafting and modelling

The successful candidate would report directly to the CNC & Press Shop, Prep & Drawing Office Manager.
Hours of Work are 7.30am till 5-00pm Monday to Thursday and 7-30am until 12-30pm on Friday.
Salary: £30,000.00 per year
