Blackpool and Fylde College are looking for day-to-day supervision of the College’s Commercial Catering provision within the agreed service standards and delivering an outstanding catering service that satisfies H&S compliance requirements and supporting the achievement of 5* Food Hygiene rating across the College catering outlets.
1. Direct support to the Commercial Catering Services Manager and acting as deputy in their absence
2. Supervision of the Catering Assistants and Chef Supervisors/Chefs and support with managing each catering outlet to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
3. To provide operational assistance and support in any of the College’s Commercial Catering outlets as required
4. To be responsible for ensuring the Commercial Catering operation meets all Health & Safety and EHO standards
5. Ensure each catering outlet and associated catering team members follow HACCP expectations and monitor and record all data accordingly
6. The delivery of menu options that address the College and customer expectations in respect of healthier choices, price and quality and the wellbeing
7. Managing the day-to-day training of all the Commercial Catering staff to ensure they are all trained to the appropriate level for all aspects of their jobs
8. To carry out annual and mid-year performance reviews for Catering Assistants and Chef Supervisors/Chefs
9. To ensure agreed service standards are met and respond to customer feedback and make any appropriate adjustments or improvements to the service
10. Ensure all relevant risk assessments and COSHH records are monitored and up-to-date and that catering colleagues are up to date with any changes
11. Ensuring that robust systems and procedures are in place for all Commercial Catering income
12. The general operation of all aspects of stock control and procurement of all foodstuffs and catering supplies across all the Commercial Catering outlets
